Studio portrait sessions
I have a small studio based in Meadowmill, near the centre of Dundee. It’s handy to have at least seven days notice before a shoot but it’s always worth a call anyway as I may be able to accommodate. It’s a fairly small studio so with larger groups I have access to another area of the building to carry out portrait photography sessions. Studio photography sessions usually last around an hour, sometimes a bit longer, depending on size of group, changes of clothes, etc. Feel free to bring your pets along too as, after all, they are part of the family. All portrait sessions include an initial consultation and a viewing of your images on a big screen in the studio.
Portrait photography products
I provide a range of products for image presentation, including books, albums, USB drives and frames. You can read about them on the product page. Also have a look at the offers page as there will always be a voucher or some other special offer available.
Why book me for your portrait photography?
Let me explain a bit about myself and why you should book me for your portrait photography session.
I have a wealth of experience in portrait photography. I've worked in and owned a studio within the top photography franchises in the world, photographing up tp 40 portrait sessions a week. This taught me that no portrait session is typical and I can adapt very quickly to families, whether large or small, young or old. I can deal with and understand people who don't like being in front of a camera. I've been complimented on numerous occassions from people who hate the camera.
How do I do that? Well I warm to people and people seem to warm to me. So give me a bell and we can have a chat about a portrait session.
All about your portrait experience
Once you've chosen your portrait experience package give the studio a call and we'll arrange a date and time for you to come and enjoy the experience. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your session.
Preparing for your photo session
Your session takes place in my studio at Meadow Mill and will last between one and three hours, depending on what package you purchased. Feel free to bring a change of clothes as two or three changes during a session is a good idea. I'll help you chose what works best for groups. For the fashion style session you might want to bring a few outfits and we can decide what will work for your images.
Call me anytime to discuss your session and ideas you may have. I have lots of experience photographing thousands of people over the years and will be able to help with suggestions based on your hobbies and interests. You may want to bring props that are relevant.
There is free parking at the studio with plenty of room at the weekends and evenings.
About Your Viewing
What happens when you come back to see your edited images
Once your portrait session is over we'll arrange a convenient time for you to come back and view your edited images. This is normally within a week of your session.
After your portrait session I'll go through all your images on the computer, editing and working on the photographs so see them at their best on the large screen. Depending on the package there can be between 20 - 40 images to see.
Together at the viewing we'll sift through the images, selecting your favourites. You can then order your finished products from the wide range available. I'll help and advise on what works with your photographs.
Your images will then be professionally colour balanced and retouched so you look your best for the final products.
